sheet pan calabrian chili crusted salmon with soy garlic green beans

Salmon filet smothered and baked in lemon calabrian chili butter crusted in crispy panko. I think this may be my new favorite way to eat salmon! This salmon also goes so well with garlic soy green beans and rice, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Ingredients

Baked Salmon

  • 1 lbs salmon filet 2" thick
  • 3 tbsp butter softened
  • 1 tbsp calabrian chili in oil, chopped
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 lemon, squeezed
  • salt and pepper

Crispy Panko

  • cup panko
  • 2 tbsp butter

Soy Garlic Green Beans

  • 1 lbs fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

Soy Garlic Green Beans

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400℉.
Combine green beans, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, honey, and sesame seeds. Toss together to evenly coat the sauce.
Lay the green beans on a parchment lined sheet pan. Bake for 10 minutes. *They will finish cooking with the salmon.

Baked Salmon

  • While the green greens are baking, whisk together softened butter, calabrian chili, lemon juice, onion powder, and salt. Adjust the salt to the butter mixture to your liking. *You can soften the butter by microwaving it for 10 seconds. Set aside.
  • On a small pan, melt 2 tbsp butter and toss in panko to toast on low heat until golden brown and crispy. Make sure you stir often to ensure they don't burn. Set aside.
  • Once the green beans are finished baking for 10 minutes, pull the sheet pan out of the oven and lay the salmon on the sheet pan. Sprinkle some salt on the filet then smother the salmon with the calabrian chili butter.
Sprinkle the crispy panko on top of the salmon filet. Pop the sheet pan back in the oven to bake for 18-20 minutes. *Aim for 15-18 minutes if salmon is <2" thick. The internal temperature should read 145℉.
  • Enjoy with a bowl of rice.
