Growing up in Thailand I'm shaped by much of the Thai culture. One of the prominent components in Thai culture is, well....food. Food plays such a huge role in Thai culture that you'll find people talking about where or what they want to eat hours in advance, even days in advance. Growing up in Thailand is where my love for food started. On every street corner you'll see family and friends gathering around the table to enjoy meals together. There's something about the quality time spent eating with those closest to you, but I think we can all admit there isn't much in the world better than a tasty meal to "hit the spot". It's this love for food that gives me my passion to cook and bake, to get creative and continually search for that "hit the spot" feeling.
Another big part of my life, whether I like it or not, is my husband's food allergies. My husband is allergic to eggs, nuts, and seafood, so practically everything under the sun. Needless to say, cooking and baking can be a challenge, but it's a challenge I welcome. If you find yourself in the same boat, I'm here to show you there are fun, simple, and most importantly delicious recipes that'll make your loved one's feel special.
